Hite Lager V Stella Artois: 1-1 score draw. Hite lager with its golden clear colour and nice appearance, is a very pleasant drink, smooth and has an aroma that is quite interesting, a strong tinge of a shot, possibly the rice. It is an extremely easy tasting drink: sweet, clear and crisp. Its smoothness making it go down very well. It tasted of a little rice and pale malt, some grains and a light hop flavour. Very refreshing and clean throughout, I enjoyed this beer. Definitely a top class session beer, perfect for a night spent watching the football. Stella Artois is also a quality beer, a clean and easy to drink beer with a very strong appearance, good head, good lacing, nice colour. It certainly looks the part. It is a very sweet grainy beer yet smooth enough to enjoy. A great session beer that you can also enjoy watching the tv on the box. So I couldn’t separate the two, as both went down very well, so I settled for a score draw. Click on links below for full beer information and reviews.

Baltika 7 Eksportnoe V Stella Artois: 1-0. Tight victory for Baltika 7 Eksportnoe. Both beers were spot on with appearance. Baltika had a nice pale yellow appearance and a good frothy head while Stella Artois was perfectly clear of a nice golden colour, with a good sized white head and some decent lacing. Baltika had a slighty better aroma though, that was of sweet malt and grain producing a lovely rustic kind of smell that was both strong and appealing on the nose. For taste, both beers were very easy to drink, and refreshing and clean tasting, but would give this to Baltika as its aftertaste was stronger and it brought a nice balance to the beer. The taste is of some sweet malts, was slightly hoppy, with some light barley malt. I do like both beers and both are good for a session, but I give the victory to Baltika. Baltika 7 Eksportnoe V Hite Lager: 1-1 Draw. Much like the actual football match I am going with a score draw 1-1. Hite scored on the nice sweet taste and lovely aroma. Baltika also had a lovely sweetish taste but was definitely that little bit stronger as a beer. Both beers were refreshingly easy to drink, and went down well, very well in fact. I enjoyed both beers so no need to pick a winner here, both equally pleasant. Click on links below for full beer information and reviews
