Kirin Ichiban V Club Colombia: 1-0 to Kirin. Kirin Ichiban was pretty nice and quite drinkable, going down very easy as I was enjoying the football. A pleasant aroma of light grains and malts, with a lovely pale yellow colour on pour and a decent sized head which lasts. Yeah Kirin is a looker alright. But its the wheaty taste I enjoyed the most, with the bitter aftertaste that is kind of creamy. Delicious. Up against Kirin was Club Colombia, a similar enough type of beer. A nice looking body, clear and golden in colour, decent frothy head, a small aroma of corn that was nice and sweet, and a taste of toasted malts. Club Colombia was also a very enjoyable drink. But I give it to Kirin as it had a better aftertaste, and more unique flavours that just about separated the two decent brews. Click on links below for full beer information and reviews.
Mythos V ? : 1-0 win for Mythos as I couldn’t source a beer from the Ivory Coast. Click on links below for full beer information and reviews
Kirin Ichiban V Mythos: 1-0 to Kirin. That excellent creamy aftertaste from the Kirin Ichiban brew does it for me in this battle. Both beers were very smooth and refreshing to drink. Mythos had a stronger beery feel to it and is a nice drink to look at. While Kirin is clean, crisp with a lovely aroma. But as mentioned, Kirin wins due to its delicious aftertaste. Club Colombia V Mythos: 1-0 Two excellent beers that I thoroughly enjoyed drinking. Both were refreshing, easy to drink, and nice on the palate. But I will just give it to Club Colombia for having a slightly sweeter taste, but it was close, very close, and two beers I look forward to having more of in the near future.
