Saudi Arabia V Egypt
(Synopsis in red)
Pregame bets:
Egypt and Saudi Arabia are both out, with both having largely disappointing World Cups. Saudi Arabia have been generally hopeless while Salah still wasn’t really match fit when introduced against Russia. I expect a good few goals today, from two teams that will abandon any form of defending to try and go out with a bang,

Saudi Arabia v Egypt – Over 4.5 Goals 7/1
If there will be goals and if, as I expect, Egypt will be scoring those goals then there is only one man to do that for them and that’s Mo. He usually gets his chances at the minimum on target and against a poor SA goalie that only means one thing: goals.

Fuck Egypt anyway, you have the second best player in the world in 2018 and you dont even fucking pass it to him, and also take the piss out of him with all the extra off field shenanigans, No wonder he doesn’t want to play for his country anymore, can’t fucking blame him. A joke.

No beer, had a nice tasty kebab though, score all draw?
PreGame:
Saudi Arabia: The Saudis had some nice midfield play, against Uruguay in the last game, but just couldn’t get a good goal scoring opportunity.
But all that early initial play was wasted when from a corner their goalkeeper, Al Owais, had a brain freeze and came for a ball he couldn’t catch, missing it completely resulting in Suarez tapping it into an empty net. If the Saudis thought they might have a chance, then this calamity just made it ten times tougher for them.
Expecting Uruguay to push on from the goal and score more, the opposite happened, it was Saudi Arabia that began to play the better football, with Bahebri having two great chances at a goal, one a sweet long range effort well saved by Muslera, the other a simple tap in at the far post ballooned over the bar when he should have hit the target. Unlucky.
Today against Egypt will be a great chance to show the world that they are not a completely useless team, and have some ballers on the team.
Egypt: Against Russia, Salah was playing, great we all thought, but little did we know how muck the rest of the Egyptian team would be even with their talisman. I mean they didn’t really have a good system to use him, he was left stranded on his own for long periods, and the Egyptian midfield often took the balls backwards when in possession rather than look for through balls or at least launch the ball in Salah’s direction. That’s how it looked to me anyhow.
Russia showed from the very beginning their intention to take this game by the scruff of the neck, Salah or no Salah they were intent on winning this game. Good early pressure had the Egyptian defence in all sorts of problems, who kept giving the ball away and were very sloppy at the back. Egypt also played very slowly, no real intensity in their play. Salah though, was lurking all the time in and around the box, and but for Zhirkov’s last ditch clearance he might have had a tap in. He also had a swinging effort go the wrong side of the post. He really needed more help from his team mates.
Didn’t have to wait too long in the second half for a goal as it came after a very sloppy display of goal keeping by El-Shenawy who choose not to catch a simple ball and the resulting clearance made its way back into the box and off the defender Fathy for a pathetic own goal. Two more goals came, Cheryshev, scored a well deserved second from a great assist by Fernandes, and Dzyuba, the man mountain scored a typical centre forward effort bringing the ball brilliantly down on his chest and then rifling it home bottom corner, class stuff.
Egypt got one back from a penalty (good call ref) from Salah, but by then the game was over, and with it their tournament. Egypt were simply not good enough, with or without Mo.
Hopefully today Egypt will rectify the situation and Mo Salah will go out with a bang.

Just got to see the second half of this game as I started off with the other game first. Salah got off the mark in the first half, while the Saudis had two penalties, scoring one from Al Faraj, while Fahad Al-Muwallad missed the other one. Well I say miss but in reality it was a great one handed save from El Hadary, the Egyptian goalkeeper, a sprightly young lad at 45!
Bahebri did enough in the game for SA not to get a move to Europe, blasting over the bar with a few chances, while not to be out down for Egypt, Trézéguet blasting over from a free header.
SA looked the better team in the second half with Egypt seemingly not bothering a whole loot with the game. Perhaps the press reports of disharmony in the camp and the whole circus involving Salah has affected them?
El Hadary managed to pull off a few more world class save, or bad misses depending on your viewpoint. He played well though, so give him the credit.
Egypt simply never used enough of Salah, never playing him in, not even passing to him at times, it really looks like Salah and his team mates dont get on at all. Ungrateful bastards, do they think they would even be there if it wasn’t for Mo?
Sure enough, Al Dawsari managed to score with the last kick of the game for SA, who in all honestly deserved to win, and were over the three games a better team to see than Egypt, which isn’t saying much as they were pretty useless themselves. As i keep banging on, the next WCup will have 48 fucking teams!!!!!!!!!
